Here at DexaFit, we don't believe the BMI is a fair representation of all people, & we don't think everyone can be explained by an algorithm. That's why we measure BODY COMPOSITION using the Gold Standard, DXA or DEXA Scanner. Low-dose radiation (about the same amount of radiation as what's contained in 4 bananas) is used to separate out body fat (including visceral fat) from lean tissue and bone mineral density to give you an accurate picture of what makes up your body - information your scale and other devices can't provide as precisely. Take control of your health with your data. This test is great for tracking REAL muscle gains and fat losses. Especially great for those people who are making changes, but the scale isn't moving! You also learn your muscular symmetry.

What to Know?

DXA, or DEXA, uses low-dose radiation to measure body composition. You will receive a printed 4-page report with your Body Fat, Lean Tissue, & Bone Mineral Density measurements. Start with a baseline & follow-up every 12-30 weeks for progress checks, or once a year for maintenance level checks.

The radiation you receive is about the same as eating 4 bananas or from taking a cross country flight.

The test takes about 6-11 minutes. The total appointment is a 30 minute booking.

Report Includes:

  • Total Body Fat %
  • Fat Tissue in LBS
  • Lean Tissue in LBS
  • BMC in LBS
  • Visceral Fat in LBS
  • BMD as total body t-score
  • Android to Gynoid Ratio
  • Metrics for Arms, Legs, Trunk, Android, Gynoid with BF%, Fat/Lean/BMC in LBS for each region
